A-Spirit-of-Roses

Early today, my mother informed me that they had to put the little old family dog to sleep. From what I understand, she got really sick and just wasn't showing any signs that she would recover, so after taking her to the vet and finding-out there wasn't much that could be done, they decided it was simply her time. My mom told me that she believes Mollie, the little dog, could sense this too, as she had become unusually clinging that week, to the point where she absolutely refused to leave my mom's side.

Mollie was an old dog of around 15 years with issues (breath problems, back and hip problems, and tumors) so I think a part of me always knew this could be her last year (or close to it.) but still...

I wish I would have known she wasn't feeling well. I wish I would have known there was a chance that they'd have to put her to sleep before the fact because then I could I could give her a farewell hug.

But I never really got to say goodbye.

The Lost Children is a new community that offers roleplaying, group game nights, contests, and more.

So, the town I live in isn't all that big, all things considered. (I won't tell you the location other than 'somewhere in North America.)  We only had one actual arts-and-crafts store in town, and if you couldn't find what you needed there, you'd either have to look online, look in other towns, or pray to whatever powers there be that one of the local retail stores might have a cheap substitute.

Well, this year...that one arts-and-crafts store closed. The owner decided to retire and simply close shop.

It's strange not having that store around anymore. It's been around as long as I can remember.


We do have a Hobby Lobby now, so that's something. Hobby Lobby certainly has a larger and more diverse variety of stuff, but saying goodbye to the other store still feels strange.




...In other news, know that I HAVE been active on Deviant, even if I have not added any new art for a while. I have been working/keeping busy, but I hope to have some new stuff up sooner or later.
